Another drama ensue today on social media as it was noticed that Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji unfollows two of her notable colleagues in the movie industry, Omotola jalade-Ekeinde and Rita Dominic. There was an air of beef caught on social media after an instagram check revealed that the "Lionheart" star has unfollowed her fellow actress leaving many of their fans surprised as to what could have led to such decision from Genevieve.
The check also showed that the two A-list actresses are still following Genevieve but no one knows why she unfollowed them.
In most spheres of life, rivalry is a common phenomenon which cannot be ruled out as everyone wants to be seen as the best in his or her field of play but when envy creeps in it becomes deadly and unhealthy.
Years back we found out that Omotola and Genevieve were at loggerheads and always tried to distant themselves.
Many movie directors, event organisers say whenever any of them is called for a movie role or a show they ask if the other is not in that movie or the event, if the answer is affirmative the person concerned would avoid the event or that movie role. The producer of the award-winning movie 'IJE' talked about how difficult it was for her to work with the two stars. Those who knew about the production of the film said that both parties avoided each other and didn't talk to each other after the shooting of the film till they left immediately after the shoot.
This feud lasted for years before the duo finally decided to bury the hatchet and were spotted together on numerous occasions
but no one knows what happened recently that made Genevieve to unfollow her and Rita Dominic, though there have been no reports yet from the camps of Rita Dominic and Omotola on why their colleague decided to unfollow them. There are however speculations that there might be an under-surface misunderstanding as it is widely believed that celebrities unfollow themselves on social media when there is an on going misunderstanding.
